Tonight at beercamp…
On Monday the Brewhouse will be releasing its 1st Dark Belgian Strong ale called Vow of Blindness. It is a monster of a beer coming in at around 11.5% but yet it is still smooth and complex with notes of toffee, pear, raisans and other stone fruits.
Also on we will be tapping a 5 gallon keg of barrel aged Old Rasputin XV.
check out the blurb on craft beer week from Pete.
On Wednesday at American Ale on Cota street there will be a event held by Chuck Hiigel.
Cheers to Great Beers
We are proud to announce the Firestone Walker Invitational Brewfest taking place the summer of 2012 in beautiful Paso Robles. We are currently assembling a gathering of some of the best breweries in the U.S. and perhaps the world to pour their beers at this first time festival. The event will also feature some of the Central Coast’s finest restaurants and food providers pairing their culinary skills with those of the brewers. Live music will also entertain guests.
Unlike some festivals where sales people or distributors come to represent the different breweries, the brewers themselves will be on hand to talk about their beers.
This is a benefit for the Pioneer Day committee, which is dedicated to the preservation of the unique history and culture of Paso Robles with 100 percent of all proceeds going to Pioneer Day. This festival is also a great opportunity to get people from all over the West Coast to come an see Paso Robles all that the Central Coast has to offer.
The event will take place June 9th at Frontier Town at the California Midstate Fairgrounds. More details to come along with info on purchasing tickets to this event.

From the Barrel is one of the most classy and unique events on the Central Coast. We are bringing together some of the finest Bourbons, Ports and Barrel-aged beers for your enjoyment. We are pairing these excellent libations with some of the best restaurants on the Central Coast and some great live music.
Already committed to this year’s festival are Ballast Point Brewery, who will be bringing a rum barrel-aged barleywine and the rum that was originally in the barrel, Russian River and Lost Abbey will both return as well.
From the Barrel is also a celebration of the Cullen-Harrison Act, which effectively ended prohibition in the United Sates. Passed on the 20th of March 1933 it went into effect on April 7th. From the Barrel falls right between those two dates on March 30th. The Santa Margarita Ranch is the perfect setting for this event, the vibe and style of the big barn matches perfectly with spirits and spirit of the event.
Be sure to don your glad rags and bust out that flapper dress and wing-tipped shoes and dress to impress you don’t want to be the only one not in on the rub.
Be sure to make arrangements for a lift from the Ranch if you become ossified, we don’t want you to get on the lam. We will be calling taxis to set up rides for people that need them. Be safe, plan ahead.
